         1. \\#1\\ Do what I tell you.
             a. The word is RECEIVE.
             b. It means TO TAKE THEM, TO CAPTURE THEM.
        2. \\#2-4\\ Commands - Here is what Solomon’s father told him
            to do. 
            a. The virtues to seek are very similar with some of
               the words being repeated and others synonyms. 
                (1) \\#2\\ WISDOM (Strong's 02451-Skilled at walking
                     with God)
                (2) \\#2\\ UNDERSTANDING
                     aa. Strong's 08394 - First use in Proverbs
                     bb. Seems to mean the same as 0998.
                     cc. Perhaps it is a synonym.
                (3) \\#3\\ KNOWLEDGE
                     aa. Strong's 0998 - Translated UNDERSTANDING in
                          the last chapter.
                     bb. It means discerning, recognizing,
                          comprehending.
                (4) \\#3\\ UNDERSTANDING
                     aa. Strong's 08394
                     bb. Already used once.
           b. I notice that the verbs seem to be in pairs.
                (1) \\#2\\ INCLINE (be attentive to) and APPLY
                     (stretch, extent for) - Both indicate use what
                     you have to gain wisdom and knowledge.  All of
                     our natural abilities should be used to seek
                     after these priceless gifts.
                (2) \\#3\\ CRY and SHOUT - Both have to do with the
                     voice.   We are told to use our voice in the
                     quest of seeking these gifts.  The only One we
                     could ask this treasure of is God so we are being
                     told to pray for these gifts.
                (3) \\#4\\ SEEK and SEARCH - Both are words to
                     describe effort and labor, like prospecting.  We
                     are to work diligently to gain these riches.
        3. \\#5-22\\ Rewards - This is what you will receive.
             a. \\#5-6\\ If you do these things, you will find the
                 Lord. 
                 (1) \\#6\\ For only God can give such wisdom and
                      knowledge. 
                 (2) The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
                 (3) By having the Lord, you gain the Lord’s
                      knowledge. 
                 (4) These are two tools that God uses to bring us
                      to Him. 
             b. \\#7-9\\ Not only so, but He…
                 (1) protects (BUCKLER),
                 (2) KEEPS and PRESERVES (another use of synonyms),
                 (3) gives UNDERSTANDING of the things which are
                      RIGHT, JUST, and FAIR,
                 (4) blesses our paths.
             c. \\#10-22\\ And He gives DISCRETION
                 (1) Strong's 04209 \\#Pro 1:4\\ - The word means "an
                      understanding of evil."
                 (2) \\#12-15\\ Discretion will deliver you from the
                      evil man.
                      aa. \\#13\\ Evil man leaves the way of right to
                           walk in the way of darkness.
                      bb. \\#14\\ He rejoices in evil and delights in
                           perversion.
                      cc. \\#15\\ His ways are crooked and twisted.
                 (3) \\#16-19\\ Discretion will deliver you from the
                      evil woman.
                      aa. \\#16\\ STRANGE is euphemism for an immoral
                           woman.
                      bb. \\#16\\ The evil woman will flatter to get
                           what she wants.
                      cc. \\#17\\ The evil woman forsakes those who
                           guided her when she was young and forgets
                           the promises of God.
                      dd. \\#18\\ The evil woman becomes a doorway to
                           death.
                      ee. \\#19\\ The evil woman starts a path from
                           which there is no return.
                 (4) \\#20-22\\ Discretion will make your life good.
                      aa. \\#20\\ You will walk in then good and
                           righteous way.
                      bb. \\#21\\ You will abide long.
                      cc. \\#22\\ The wicked will not.
